Start in Russia: Wizz Air launched the Debrecen-Moscow Flight
Debrecen / Moscow - The Russians also hope that the flight will be successful since they think that there is a great interest in Debrecen.
At the opening ceremony in Moscow, Vasily Aleksandrov, the CEO of Vnukovo International Airport celebrated the evolving cultural and economic relations between the two countries. He pointed out that the Russian people are interested in Debrecen due to the thermal baths in the region. He expressed his hopes that the flight will have a high utilisation rate and both Vnukovo and Wizz Air will continue to benefit from the collaboration.
János Balla, Ambassador of Hungary in Moscow, said that 50,000 Russian citizens have applied for a Hungarian tourist visa this year, moreover, Wizz Air’s Budapest-Moscow flights are very popular, which suggests that there is an increased Russian interest in Hungary. He pointed out that Hungary is also attractive to Russian tourists because of its favourable prices, stability and security.
Valeri Surchenko from Nizhny Novgorod was the first passenger of the Moscow-Debrecen flight, who received welcome gifts from both the airport and the Hungarian Embassy in Moscow. The young man stated that he had chosen Wizz Air due to its attractive ticket prices and destinations.
