Children’s day gift from the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Hajdú-Bihar County
The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Hajdú-Bihar County (HBKIK) gave gifts to about 180 disadvantaged children from Hajdú-Bihar County in the spirit of social responsibility. The HBKIK in connection with Children’s Day invited the children to the Vojtina Puppet Theatre to watch Pinocchio.
The primary school pupils aged between 8 and 12 came from Bagamér, Vámospércs, Nyírmártonfalva, Nyírábrány and Debrecen. After the performance, the children could come home with a lively experience and a gift package.
The event was co-organised by the Hungarian Reformed Church Aid. The selection of the children was co-ordinated by them with the assistance of the Debrecen School District and the DMJV Family Assistance and Child Welfare Centre.
The purpose of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Hajdú-Bihar County is to start the conscious financial education of children as soon as possible within the framework of the "Focus on the Future Entrepreneur, the Child" and other career planning programs. We are confident that, through initiatives aimed at children, we are able to raise awareness of the concepts of everyday necessities, such as the balance of money and its value, as well as the benefit of saving.
