Certificates of merit were awarded to students from the Hajdú-Bihar County in the Chamber

The Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry organised the Professional Pupil Competition (SZKTV) and the National Professional Studies Competition (OSZTV) for the 10th time in 2017. Their national finals were held at the jubilee 10th Profession Star Festival on April 24-27, 2017 in the Hungexpo Fair Centre in Budapest.

The aim of the competitions was to increase the popularity, social prestige and attractiveness of the practice-intensive "physical" professions, including the higher skilled ones. The slogan of the competitions and the festival was: "A good profession is as good as a degree!”

National professional competitions were commissioned by the Ministry for National Economy and the Ministry of National Development. Full time students in vocational secondary school and specialty school could compete in 41 different types of professions.

The rounds of the competition were the selections, the semi-finals, and the finals. In the written semi-final competition, 5255 people participated in the national competition, which was organized by the regional chambers according to previous years.

In Hajdú-Bihar County, 32 vocational professions were attended by 276 students in the semi-finals, out of which 7 out of 17 schools got into the finals. 10 contestants finished in the first three, two were 1st place, three were 2^nd place, and five reached 3^rd place.

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Hajdú-Bihar County expressed its appreciation for the outstanding achievements of the finalists and their preparatory teachers during the awards ceremony. The certificates and prizes were awarded by Ferenc Miklóssy, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Hajdú-Bihar County.
